Beautiful Sharifah Sofia

Sharifah Sofia was born on July 28th 1985 in Liverpool, England and grew up there till she was 9 years old. She had later moved to Malaysia up till now. She has mixed parentage, her father is Malaysian and mother, Scottish. Sofia, as she is favoured to be called, is the 3rd child of 4.
While trying her best to learn the beautiful language of Malaysia, Sofia started her career in the TV business at the age of 10, shooting her first ever commersial for ABC drinks, Indonesia. What kicked off Sofia's career was her appearance in the well-known SitCom, Spanar Jaya in 2001, where she played Aisha, Pak Selamat and Misha's cousin. Afterwards, Sofia was offered parts in various other Dramas, SitCom's and Telemovies such as Skuad Elit, Kelas Malam, Kopi. Com and many more..

In 2002, Sofia had put her acting life on hold to concentrate on nothing but her studies as she had to sit for her SPM. Within that time, somehow, she had joined the well-known, "Malaysian Spice Girls", Elite. Due to some disagreements, it only lasted 3 months. Not long after sitting for her exams, in 2003, Sofia was offered to host a music TV programme for RTM, StarTrax with her co-hosts, Jay Manon and Alex Tan. Followed by TV series; Badai Metropolis and Astana Idaman, and Telemovies; Lisa Oh Lisa and Mariam Marina. Wait! That's not all, Sofia was also nominated for Best New Artist for ABPBH-2002.

After acting in these various programmes, Sofia decided to try out a new departmet in the industry; comparing/hosting. Though Sofia may have hosted for StarTrax, she wanted to do something with a little bit more adventure. Sofia was offered to compare for the travel programme for RTM; Mengayau Bah.. The show was throughout Sabah. From climbing up Mount Kinabalu to Diving in the beautiful seas of Sipadan. Not only did Sofia host a Travel programme, but not long after, Sofia was hosting a gameshow "Buddies" for TV3..

Finally, after acting not more than 4 years, Sofia accepted an offer to act in her first feature film; GONG, featuring Faizal Yusup, Elyana, Jehan Miskin and Fasha Sandha. Shot 100% in Jogjakarta, Indonesia.

In the mids of shooting a whole new reality programme "Malaysia's Most Beautiful" for 8TV; where we're looking for the inner and outter beauty of a woman, Sofia finally decided to go back to school and had enrolled into the School of Performance & Media in Sunway College.
